What Influences The Cost of Dental Implants

Factors of dental implants cost

For many people who wish to replace lost or impaired teeth, dental implants provide an excellent care option. It can be a little tough to get an accurate price estimate because there are so many variables that can influence the final cost.

When you agree to schedule a consultation with Dr. Germain Jean-Charles, make sure to think deeply about this treatment option’s financial aspect. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

A Closer Look at the Cost of Dental Implants

Usually, there are several different factors determining the patients ‘ final cost. Here are four of the most significant ones:

The type of implant used – Standard dental implants have posts with a diameter of up to four millimeters and a length of up to twelve millimeters; on the other hand, small implants are unlikely to be larger than two millimeters and have a much shorter post. The type of implant used will partly depend on where it is to be installed.

The number of implants being placed – It will cost less to place one or two implants as opposed to placing several at one time. Since several other treatment-related costs need to be weighed, however, opting to put some implants now and others later might not be more feasible in the long run.

Periodontal procedures necessary – Patients who have lost their teeth have suffered some degree of bone loss and will require bone grafting before an implant can be applied.

Gum disease treatment – Highly developed stages of gum disease target the teeth holding bone and ligaments. Treatment may be needed to clear that infection.

Some of the costs associated with the implants can be managed. For example, if you have advanced periodontal disease, consider taking this medication before you get dental implants.
